The Map and GIS Department currently consists of 13 employees who work with geographical data in various forms; map production, surveying, and GIS.

We, all employees in the department, are constantly working on the development and improvement of our operations. We have the ambition to stay at the forefront and test new solutions and ideas to work smarter.

The role of Surveying Engineer primarily involves working with the production of new building maps. You work with the entire process for each new building map, which includes administrative work, searches in the Swedish Land Survey's archives, field surveying, and map production.

Other tasks may include:

• property investigations to improve the quality of property boundaries in the register map
• boundary demarcations
• position checks
• staking out
• surveying for base maps
• updating the municipality's map database
• photogrammetric mapping
• other surveying assignments internally within the municipality

Field work is performed using GNSS and total stations. A large part of the work is carried out independently, both in the field and in the office. Some of the field work is conducted on islands in the archipelago.

You will join a team of four surveying engineers who have similar tasks.

We are looking for you who have relevant education and a desire to develop in the role.

A B-class driver's license for manual transmission is a requirement.
